Why I Changed My YouTube Name

Today I changed my YouTube name from AlchemyBeauty to HannahNicoleBeauty.

I've been thinking of changing it for awhile and going back and forth with myself about it , but then a thought came to my mind that made me go for the change.

I love YouTube! Even though I haven't been making beauty and makeup related videos on YouTube for as long as some , I've been on Youtube for a LONG time! Making makeup and beauty videos has a very special place in my heart. There was a time in my life where I was going through SO much drama with a kinda "ex" friend and in this time it got to the point where she brought my self confidence and esteem down that I had considered DELETING my account and was NEVER going to make videos again. I would sit at my computer for hours with the mouse arrow over the delete button thinking of " Should I delete My Account?" , " Would Doing This Make Me Happy ?", etc. But then one day a while ago my husband told me that I shouldn't cut something out of my life that makes me happy just because 1 person thinks otherwise. There WILL be people who don't like me or my channel BUT there WILL be people who enjoy my videos and will be excited and happy when I upload a video, and who want me to be successful and continue making videos for awhile.

It's thanks to my husband that I still have my channel and still make videos today.

I LOVE YouTube and I plan on making videos for a LONG time and when it came down to whether or not I change my YT name I remembered the conversation I had with my husband and the goal(s) I have for my channel. Although some famous beauty youtubers have a unique and edgy YT name I wanted mine to represent me and it to be something that I can be proud of. Even though I liked my channel name being AlchemyBeauty it just wasn't something that I personally felt represented me or was something I could be proud of and see myself having in the future.

There has already been a few people who don't like the changed and at first I was a little bothered by it but then I remembered it's MY channel! I can do WHATEVER I want with it because it is MINE! I make the decisions on what videos to upload, and I make the decisions of what changes happen to my channel.

I would also like to thank those who have messaged me already saying that they love the change and can't wait to see where I go from here on YouTube!
